Ba-na-na!

Tonight I made banana bread – was super affordable since bananas are 39 cents a pound at Pick N Save right now, and I had a coupon for a box of Bisquick that bought the price for the box down to $1. I followed this recipe from Cooks.com, but I left out the nuts – I’m nuts enough.

BISQUICK BANANA BREAD
2 1/3 c. Bisquick
1 c. sugar
1/3 c. vegetable oil
3 eggs
3 lg. very ripe bananas
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped nuts

Mix together Bisquick, sugar, oil and eggs, beat well. Stir in bananas. Add vanilla and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes in loaf pan. Recipe found at Cooks.com

Roll that beautiful Banana Bread footage!

Ignore the ripped up top…that is where this banana bread decided to reach for the stars and bust through the next oven rack up. If you follow me on Twitter, this is the point where I tweeted “Banana bread DISASTA!”

Now I’m tired.

Hmm…

What’s this you say? I have a website? I guess I forgot! No, just been busy with Olympics-mania and analyzing the Rob and Kristen breakup! Right now I’m baking banana bread and I hope to be back tomorrow with a list of grocery savings if I ever get it together enough to clip some coupons and make a list!
